“Never, if possible, lie down at night without being able to say: I have made one human being, at least, a little bit wiser, a little happier, or a little better this day.”  Charles Kingsley

Be Friendly – Smile! Smile every time you are on the phone or greeting someone in person. Smile! Demonstrate sincere enthusiasm when helping others. (Sometimes a smile is the reason they decide to walk in the doors and receive the message of salvation)

Go the extra mile – Go the extra mile for your guests. It will set you apart. (Most people will not go above and beyond) You have been called to be set apart, so go ahead and WOW people! Intentionally find ways to surprise and delight everyone who comes to your church.

Bend the rules – Instead of using the rules as an excuse to do as little as possible.  Remember – Blue rules vs Red rules. (Blue Rules – can be broken, Red Rules – for security and safety only, Red Rules can not be broken)

Attitude – Your attitude is your personal signature. Make sure people associate a pleasant, helpful attitude when they hear or read your name.

Encourage – Be an encouragement to everyone! Yours may be the only kind word they hear today.

Make a difference – Every day you can make a difference in another person’s life.

Expectations – List 3 things you can do to exceed the expectations of your guests.

Be You – Be genuine and authentic when you connect with others. People know when you are being real and when you are not.

The Reason – Our guests connecting with the message, with God and with the people of God are the reason we serve…not an interruption to our routine. This is it! This is somebody’s “One Day” experience and because of you , they will meet Jesus and see Him in you!
