Failure to Launch

What causes us to launch a new approach to Connection at Champions Centre with every expectation of success?  Here are a few things that we do that might help you:

  1. Our Focus Group – We have a team of people, all with different strengths that meet on an ongoing basis to review our systems, processes and packaging asking this one questions: “Does this eliminate barriers that would keep people from connecting to the community of the church?”
  2. Our Presenter’s Lab – We schedule what we call a “Presenter’s Lab” prior to the launch of anything new. It’s basically a Full Dress Rehearsal.  We invite core team members from every area to get a 360 degree perspective of what we are about to launch, get feedback and make any adjustments that need to be made before we launch.
  3. Communication, Communication, Communication – We collaborate with staff to coordinate any communication needed via media, social media, and from our platform. We meet with our teams to communicate the vision and heart of our new approach and how this launch is going to have an eternal impact on people.

Launch. One person has to be the activator that drives the launch every step along the way. We are able to identify early on if the direction we are headed is not quite right. But when we hit that sweet spot…when we know we have captured the very heart of God – we launch! Do we have to adjust once we have launched?  Absolutely!  Don’t be afraid to launch something new because everything is not quite perfect. That’s where God kicks in! For us, failure to launch is not an option.

I don’t mean to say that I have already achieved these things or that I have already reached perfection. But I press on to possess that perfection for which Christ Jesus first possessed me. No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on to reach the end of the race and receive the heavenly prize for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.
