Lead me to the Cross

Tomorrow begins the Lenten season. The 40 days preceding Easter where we carve out time to remember everything Jesus did for us. In this time of remembrance, it is customary to remember, repent, release and return to the Lord. It is also a time of sacrifice. Jesus sacrificed his life for us, so we give up something during this time in remembrance of His sacrifice. It may be a time of fasting from sugar, television, video games, whatever it might be. Think about what you might do in the next 40 days. I pray that God move in the hearts of men and women all over the world this season. I pray for a revival to sweep over this land like never before. I pray that people would see their sin, repent, recognize their need for a savior and return to the Lord. I pray that God will heal our land. Lead us to the cross Lord in a fresh new way. We commit to seek your face, to know your will, to remember what you did for us.

In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” Then they remembered his words.Luke 24:5-8
